English as a Second Language Endorsement

Designed specifically with teachers needs in mind, Midland’s 100% online ESL endorsement program offers flexibility, real-world faculty, and implements practicum to give students an opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge in the classroom before taking their skills to their school or school district!

Flexible Online Class Structure

Designed around a teacher’s demanding schedule, the ESL endorsement program can be completed 100% online with asynchronous course work throughout. With the help of this program, students can immediately apply what they are learning to their profession each day because of our flexible online class structure.

Class Schedule

Our program modules run from Monday through Sunday, with the bulk of assignments due on Sunday to allow teachers to plan around their demanding work schedule.

Experienced Faculty

With multiple years of combined K-12 teaching and leadership experience, our ESL faculty challenge student thinking, and allow students to share authentic experiences to enrich learning, and strengthen the quality and meaning of online discussions and assignments.

Students will gain content knowledge from the faculty members with years of valuable experience across districts.

Practicum Experience

During the practicum of the ESL endorsement program, candidates will have the opportunity to complete field hours in an ESL setting. In this course, candidates will select an assignment that is related to their practicum experience.

The grade levels for the practicum must correspond with field or subject endorsement the candidate currently holds. If a candidate is seeking a PK-12 endorsement, the practicum must be completed at the level not on the current endorsement.
