Master of Athletic Training

College of Health Professions

Welcome to Midland University’s Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program. This program is a traditional full-time program that prepares students to take the Board of Certification (BOC) Examination to become licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). With 33 sports and multiple off-site experiences, Midland provides a diverse educational and clinical experience.

With a smaller school experience, Master of Athletic Training students will have access to various interprofessional opportunities with our growing Human Performance and Nursing programs. Midland University opened a state-of-the-art simulation lab that allows students to gain real-world experiences with the help of mannequins exhibiting a variety of conditions, and the renovated dedicated Athletic Training space provides a home for athletic training development.
