Our hybrid MBA program is designed for busy working professionals who need the flexibility of an online program, but still want to build their professional network through peer-to-peer interactions. Our program meets in person every other weekend, with flexible, online coursework in-between.
The Best of Both Worlds
To help build connections with classmates and professors, students will meet in person every other weekend, depending on their course schedule, at our Omaha location. This time is devoted to case-based learning and discussion of real-world examples and situations provided by industry leading faculty members, to develop students’ understanding of business applications in a networked environment.

Weeks in between the in-person classes are considered distance learning weeks with asynchronous on-demand content available for students to engage at their leisure to keep up with coursework as needed. Throughout each 8-week term, there are four distance weekends allowing students to keep up with the demands of a busy career and other obligations.
During the online class weeks, professors record live content to be rewatched on demand that correlates to current assignments, provide activities to facilitate applied learning at work , plus host optional live ‘office hours’ for students to connect in real-time for questions and conversation.
Want to Get Started Right Away?
Students are able to join the program in January, March, June, October, or August, allowing each student to have the most flexibility within our program. Whether joining the program in January or any other term start time, students can choose their own path. Students looking at taking a slower track through the MBA, can complete one course at a time and receive their MBA in about two years.
Others looking to complete their MBA as quickly as possible, can take up to four courses each term and be on track to graduate in 12 months, while continuing to work full-time. Each term, students have the flexibility to choose to speed up or slow down their path to obtaining their MBA, as their personal life might dictate the need for change.
Below we’ve provided an overview of our course rotations.
Due to visa regulations, international students may only start in August to maintain full-time status.
A Hybrid Schedule
The Midland MBA’s hybrid structure has been proven to be at least as effective, if not more, than traditional business schools or online only classes.
All courses meet both in-person and online, allowing you to benefit from the best of both worlds.
Each term runs for eight weeks, consisting of four in-person weekends and four online weeks. With the flexibility of the format of the Midland MBA, students will choose the number of courses they are wanting to take each term. Depending on the courses chosen to take, students will either attend class on Friday or Saturday every other week, unless the student chose to take multiple courses in one term. Course schedules are published for the entire academic year (August-July), allowing students to map out their schedules in advance.
The required in- person meetings give all students the chance to meet faculty and work directly with classmates, while the online components can be completed anytime during the online week. Midland MBA students will have a few weeks off for holiday break after the fall terms, spring break before the summer term begins, and an extended break after the summer term each year, before starting their fall term in the following year.
Details of in-person class meetings are outlined below.
