Master of Science applicants should complete the graduate application.
You will begin by creating an account and verifying it via email. The online application will then ask for your contact information, details about your employment and academic history, and two academic references. Once you have submitted this information, you’ll be asked to upload the personal statement described below and officially request your transcripts from previous institutions to be submitted to Midland via mail or electronically.
Please reach out to your advisor or to Graduate.Admissions@MidlandU.edu with any questions.
Your personal statement helps us get to know you and understand why you are interested in earning your Master of Science: Sport Administration and Leadership degree at Midland.
Your statement should address the following topics.
- Why are you interested in pursuing a Master of Science: Sport Administration and Leadership degree? How will an MS-SAL degree help advance your personal and professional interests?
- What personal and professional attributes make you a strong candidate for this academic program?
- How will other MS-SAL students benefit from your background, experiences, and values?
Please note: Your statement should be approximately two pages long.
Once a student has been accepted into the program, they will need to submit their $250 enrollment deposit which will be applied to their first term bill to secure their seat in the class.
Please note: The enrollment deposit is nonrefundable due to the fact that we may have turned down other students to secure your seat in the program.
To help guide potential applicants, we’ve created an index of all of the frequently asked questions posts that would give applicants a better idea of the admissions process.

Please note: The submission of required documents and payment of the enrollment deposit are the main things that can hold up a student’s admission into a program.
Students who are enrolled in one of Midland’s Graduate and Professional Studies programs should: pay their bill or set up a payment plan. Then, contact their advisor to make sure they have a program of study in place.
Once a program of study is in place, the student’s advisor will automatically continue to register them for classes based on their program of study. Any student who would like to know what their curriculum path looks like, please contact your advisor.
