The Midland Code Academy is a full-time immersive program built for students who are ready to make a change over the course of 12 weeks.
From Web Novice to Career Ready
Web development is an in-demand skill with a market that is increasingly difficult to break into. In the Midland Code Academy, we’ll make sure that you’re fully prepared to network your way into an interview, explain your technical expertise, and take on any programming challenge.
Our program is designed to run full-time for 12 weeks. We meet for eight hours a day learning about new concepts, practicing them in solo assignments, reviewing code, pair programming, participating in group projects, and doing independent research.
Learning to code is like learning a new language, and the best way to learn a language is full immersion. You’ll join your classmates at our Omaha location every day to dive deep into new concepts, overcome new challenges and work closely with experienced instructors to create your next project.
Our focus is on making you a career-ready coder, meaning no previous coding or programming experience is required to join the Code Academy. We’ll start off with the foundations, and prepare you to be a junior developer in 12 weeks.
To be accepted into the Code Academy, you will need to complete a Coding 101 workshop. This can be achieved in-person at one of our upcoming events or online via Zoom.
This workshop will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete, and will establish some fundamental skills that allow all Code Academy students to begin at a similar level. To RSVP for a Coding 101, please click on one of the events listed.
You can learn to code on any laptop, and we want you to use a device that you’re comfortable with. If you don’t have a laptop today, we’ll provide a new MacBook Air to you upon your enrollment in the Code Academy. If you already have a laptop you would prefer to use, additional scholarship support will be available in place of this device.
