Cost & Aid

We understand that the decision to earn a degree and educational endorsements represents a serious investment of time and money. This program offers an invaluable experience for future educators, and it is an investment that will provide significant returns for the rest of your teaching career.

That said, there are plenty of ways to fund your higher education! We encourage you to contact us for more information, either via email at finaid@midlandu.edu or (402) 941-6520.

TEACH Grant Program

The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 per year to education students, up to a total of $16,000. These students must agree to serve as full‐time teachers in a high‐needs field for four years after their degree in a public or private elementary school, secondary school, or educational service agency that serves students from low‐income families.

Employer Sponsorship

Many school districts offer tuition assistance. Please check with your Human Resources department to find out if your employer offers such a program.

Federal Aid

Federal undergraduate financial aid will use your tax returns to assess your eligibility for federal subsidized and unsubsidized loans and grants as you return for your bachelor’s degree.

Students who are U.S. Citizens, or permanent residents, are generally eligible for federal financial aid if they do not default on any federal loans and have not hit the federal borrowing limit of $57,500 for undergraduate programs.

Students who are ready to start the financial aid process may start by applying for student loans by completing the FAFSA and entering Midland’s Title IV Code: 002553.
