Master of Education in Leadership, Teaching, and Learning, Graduate Level Certificate & Endorsements

Midland University’s Master of Education in Leadership, Teaching and Learning,  four endorsements, and certificate program offer students a variety of options that can support their career goals!

Master of Education In Leadership, Teaching, & Learning

Under the Walker School of Education, Midland’s Master of Education in Leadership, Teaching, and Learning program is designed for full-time teachers who are ready to grow as educators in their school or district. Throughout the program, students will develop skills that they can take back to their classrooms immediately.

This program and others in education provide authentic projects to engage students in relevant learning and enable them to use their current classroom experience to add to new learning.

High Ability Learner

Students gain the skills and confidence to teach all levels of the classroom and across the spectrum of abilities to promote the success and well-being of every learner. Students earn 18 credit hours at the graduate level through this 12-month fully online program and are quickly prepared for leadership roles in HAL. Many districts require HAL-endorsed educators and support their growth.

English as a Second Language

Throughout the 12-month program, Midland students pursuing an ESL endorsement will gain strategies and techniques for working with diverse student populations in a range of settings for immediate application.

This endorsement is completed at the graduate level, provided the student holds a teaching certificate. Individuals with this endorsement may teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in the grade levels that they are prepared. This can be a PK-12, PK-6, or 7-12 endorsement.

Principal

Midland University’s online Principal Endorsement track will prepare you for a position as a K-8 or 7-12 principal. The program is fully accredited and leads to the Educational Administration – Principal Endorsement in the state of Nebraska.

Students holding a master’s degree in education can pursue the Principal Endorsement program. Students without a master’s degree in education will need to pursue this endorsement as part of their MEd.

National Board Certified Teacher

Grounded in the National Board’s Five Core Propositions that describe what teachers should know and be able to do, the certification process is designed to collect standards-based evidence of accomplished practice*

Classroom & Behavior Management

With this certificate, teachers can feel prepared to handle disruptive behaviors by learning how to effectively use behavior management techniques. The techniques that students learn can be taken immediately back to the classroom as they continue through the program.
